RE: Recommendations for RV body repair in Knoxville?

I have bought and have had repairs make by Chilhowee RV in Knoxville/Alcoa, TN. I think they have been fair to me.

Looks like you broke all the "rules" and still had a great time. Way to go!!!!

RE: Geo Tracker/Suzuki Sidekick

I'm not sure what year they went to "auto" hubs, but in order to tow my 1995 Geo Tracker the hubs have to be in the "unlocked" position.

RE: Gouldings CG

If you set up for dry camping for a day or two, I would suggest that you consider staying with the Indians in the "dry camping area" ($10) that they offer on a bluff overlooking the Mittens. It's awesome to watch a sunset and sunrise while sitting in your RV. If not, then Gouldings is OK.

RE: Labor day weekend, and Pranks

:o Just think what it would have been like if you got sprayed with the "brown" stuff instead of just water and chems.

RE: Methane gas from kitchen sink

Some RV's (mine) that have kitchen slides have a flexible hose that connect to the holding tank and the sink drain pluming. A break or crack in this line could allow sewer gas to work it's way into the RV. This would be compounded if the gray tank valve is open and the sewer hose is connected to a sewer drain.

RE: Ceramic Roof Coating

This is a white paint that contains thousands of glass beads. Not only is it used for roofs, it is also used as exterior wall paint. It claims to be an insulator.

RE: Check your shower faucet assembly, save $35

I've had them both ways. Can't ever remember a problem on either one.

RE: Campgrounds-Mrytle Beach

Myrtle Beach Travel Park is located on the "good" (north) side of town. Easy off of SR 22. Close to "Restaurant Row" and Calabash. Dixie Stampede, and several theaters. I could go on and on.....

RE: Google Earth

I would be happy to still get "google earth" with having to pay for it! :h My Google Earth is free. To make sure I just pulled up my address. Are you saying you have to pay for it? How much?

RE: Monument Valley Drive Loop and Pets

We were there this past spring. Really can't answer the pet question. I can say that the only time I saw anyone of "authority" was the young Indian lady that took our money for our camping and entry permits. IMO I would just take them. Are you dry camping at Monument Valley or across the road at Goulding's? Monument Valley, April, 2008

RE: Secluded Valley NC on 19E Don't go.

Well, I for one have sent them a email letting them know that this is a poor business practice and that Terry's complaint is making the rounds on the RV forums.

RE: Resort vs Park

Lets see....We have campgrounds. RV Parks. RV Resorts. Then to top it all off we have RV Resort Parks.

RE: Salt Lake to Bryce

I-15 to I-70 to US 89 will be a little flatter route. SR 20 has a 7% grade on the approaches to the 7910 foot summit.

RE: Electrial Question

The 240 v welder recpt is 240 volts phase to phase with a ground. A RV 50 recpt is two (2) 120 volt circuits (120 volts to neutral) plus a ground. The two will not interchange.

RE: Ashville to Myrtle Beach

I-26 east bound after the exit for Hendersonville goes down a long 7 percent grade where it crosses the Green River. Gear down and save the brakes. The bridge is touted to be the highest interstate bridge in the US. The driver can not see the river. The copilot may?? The pull out of the valley is not quite as bad. The rest of I-26 is a series of a lot of long grades almost to Columbia, SC. In Columbia, take I-20 to Florence, SC. At Florence, take I-95 north for a few miles to the exit to 327. It will be well marked to Myrtle Beach.

RE: Myrtle Beach SC

In my stays at Apache, the motorcycles were parked in a holding area inside the front gate. No riding in the CG.

RE: Why no on line reservations for Briarcliffe? (C2C Resort)

In my dealing with Briarcliffe, It is stated that all the sites are owned and it is hard to tell when the owner will occupy the site. After getting a site, if the owner shows up, you will have to move to another site.

RE: 2007 flat tow auto trans?

Strange, the 2007 year is the only one that I can't get to download from the Motorhome Mag. site also. FMCA lists only 3 under 3000 lbs. Chevy Colbat, Pontiac G5 and the Saturn Ion Sedan.

RE: Coos Bay, OR. to Diamond Lake/Crater Lake Nat. Park

Unless you specifically have a reason to go to Klamath Falls, I would suggest returning to Medford via 62 from Crater Lake area. I will be visiting RV friends in Klamath Falls. A must stop.
